What would you have done differently if you could redo Facebook?
Eduardo Saverin: (laugh) um… meaning I tried not to look at things that way… you learn best by, you know, feedback. Hitting your head against the wall is the best thing, the best learning experience that you could have… So I don’t think there would be much that we would’ve done differently. And I’m thankful that our passion and our needs at that time end up being a great impact to everyone in the world. It’s just humbling and thankful for it. So I really wouldn’t look at necessarily doing anything differently. Go clearly every step that the company has taken, I have taken in the company. You learn from and you would have that in your future actions. But I tried never to look at the passes, something negative; it’s really actually positive cuz you learn.
Advice on starting a company?
Mark Zuckerberg: Don’t worry about making mistakes too much. Mistakes are how you learn. The real question is how you learn from them. You gotta keep on powering ahead and not stress too much about it.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Mark Zuckerberg: You’re going to make mistakes no matter what you do. A lot of people focus on avoiding mistakes. Most of what we do is mistakes. You’re successful because of only a few things you did well.
